In early spring 2025 I completed an art and science residency at Playa Summerlake in the Great Basin area of Oregon. It was a highly enriching experience with other creatives - writers, musicians, a scientist and visual artists. The artworks here represent various aspects of what I found within this vast landscape. Snow was just melting away and the bare "bones" of grasslands, high desert, mountains and deforestation were evident, including remains from climate change problems, lumbering and ranching.
